10 days

I have approximately 10 days to post A LOT of things!! I have vowed to myself that I will not, absolutely CANNOT, let 2013 end without blogging about some amazing things that have happened this year. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! My life is passing by and I feel like I cannot even say, "I am trying!" Or, "I did my best." I feel like I have abandoned my blog. Abandoned writing down my version of things and I am pretty lame because of it.

Ok. So in the next 10 days you will hear about monthly adventures - May-Dec.(Yes, we continued adventuring all year and did some pretty fun things!). I will tell you about Evan starting school and his little love, Ellie. I will also tell you about little Wesley and his evil attitude! Actually, I will tell you about Wesley now...

A few days ago he turned 18 months old.  He is turning into quite the character and has been known to violently force his way onto Evan, Steve, me, Jen, Owen, Ivy, Autumn, Grandpa Thomas, Kiki, Rylee, and the list goes on. He has a terrible temper and will dramatically throw himself on the floor when he doesn't get his own way. He tends to use his hands for hitting despite my best efforts to explain to him that he is not making many friends that way!  He loves to steal things from Evan and will sneak over to take exactly the thing that will make Evan the most angry. After he has the coveted item he will run away at full speed or will turn and throw it at Evan's head. Now, keep in mind, this is not just a friendly toss- the kid has an arm!! He keeps me up at night with worry about his little head although everything seems to be healed and growing perfectly. (I suppose if I didn't worry I might lose my job as his Mom.)

On a more positive note, he has an amazing laugh, he loves cars, and gives the best little tiny guy hugs. He wraps his little hands around my neck and squeezes! He will eat just about anything, although I would say sweet potatoes and scrambled eggs with cheese are his favorite (not together!). He adores Evan and when he is not hitting him he is trying to copy him. He is trying to talk and says lots of things like, mama, Evan, brother, blankie, water, cheese, eggs, apple, dada (although that one sounds a little bit like gaga), diaper, book, good, Grandpa (pampa), and grandma (pamma).  He knows what a cow says, a duck, a cat, a dog, a dinosaur, a lion, and my favorite, a snake. The reason I love that one is that he sticks his little tongue out and does it with a slight lisp. He knows that a gorilla pounds his chest and that a shark is mean (he chases Evan with a stuffed shark growling). He knows how to say ear, eye, nose, and loves to find his belly button and penis. He is a smart little guy and you can see his little wheels spinning as he plans his next _____ (fill in the blank, attack, meal, destruction, hug, etc).

He keeps me on my toes as he thinks "no" means "yes" and is constantly drawing on walls, putting things in the toilet, ripping things apart, or eating things that present a chocking hazard (money, bouncy balls, Legos).

Through the tantrums, loves, hugs, hits, and attitude, I love him more than he could know. Probably more than I could know. 18 months and growing strong!

Ha! I, too, have a goal to catch up on my blog. I gave myself until the end of January :)
Little guys hugs make up for all the evilness, don't they?
