They said it would happen...

In reading all my websites about pregnancy and "what to expect," I keep reading warning things like:
"Your wedding ring may not fit because your hands will be swollen..." Mine fits fine.  Maybe a little tighter than normal, but still fits.
"You may not like the same things you used to like..." NOPE.  Chocolate still tastes wonderful!
"You may have trouble sleeping.." I do wake up earlier than I would like, but for the most part I cannot stay awake!  Sleeping is not the problem!
"You may want to kill your husband..."  Hmmm.  No, I still like Steve.  I even still like him after he spent entirely too much money in Iowa on Halloween.
"You may start "nesting"..."  Whoever came up with that word is lame.  Can't a girl just enjoy organizing?
"Your shoes may not fit because your feet will be swollen (and as an extra blow, you may never fit into your old shoes again - of course they don't say it like that, I am paraphrasing)..."  HOW SAD!!!  Of all things to come true!  Why this one? I got dressed for court (in my one pair of court appropriate maternity pants from Jen), put on an adorable little black top that seems to go with court pants, jeans, or even cargo pants, and sat down on the bed for the ever difficult task of putting on my shoes.  Socks - on and no worries yet.  Shoes - WHAT!!!  Why do these lovely little boots feel so tight?!  (Take note, these are not the boots from the previous post.  I got the black ones and those ones feel fine!  These ones are adorable little heels that have felt fine until today!)   I refused to believe that they did not fit and headed out the door.  Now as I sit here at court, I can feel the tightness of the boots and am beginning to think "they" were right.   I am now waiting for my turn at court so I can head back to the office and work the rest of the day in socks!  So not work appropriate, but I must improvise!  My feet already hurt and it is only 9:36 am!

SAD.  As a side note...I am not going to buy into the idea that these cute little shoes are doomed for a life at Good Will as a bargain deal.  I will keep the boots around and pray to the heavens above that my feet will once again return to normal!!! Maybe today is just an extra swollen day from all the water I drank yesterday...

There is hope! My feet were swollen unlike anything I have ever seen (even flip flops were tight), but I am now able to fit into all my previous shoes just fine. The shoes I wore for my wedding, that were slightly large--during pregnancy became pinching nightmares--are now slightly large again. Do not despair! :)

I will have faith that your shoes will fit!!! And I totally sympathize with you.

However, I think my feet even shrunk after Ivy. Ha ha ha ha.

You'll be fine. Save the boots. I'm sad about all the stuff I got rid of thinking I could never wear it again.
And seriously, is everything really 'adorable?' Really? =]

Don't panic! My feet are the same size they used to be and they were like bowling balls when I was pregnant with Eva!

I agree with all the comments...never a problem fitting into my shoes after the babies came!

I unfortunatly never had a swelling problem so far in all three of my pregnancies, but I have noticed that some of my shoes have never really fit right after having my kids. I am now officially buying a half size bigger than I used to. Hopefully this will not be the case for you.

I can't believe everyone is talking about YOUR feet! But soon, your feet will be normal and all your adorable little shoes will fit and you will be back to wearing the shoes of your choice. All I can tell you is...It's worth it!
