Someone will LOVE this little green house, but who?

So, about the house.  If you know Steve, you know that we have spread sheets of budgets, Spread sheets of expenses, Spread sheets of income vs. expenses, Spread sheets of Angie spending vs. Steve spending, Daily check ups on what exactly was purchased at Target?, Emails asking if I remembered to submit my medical reimbursements to Jennifer, random bank accounts opened to find better interest rates, etc.  I could keep going, but you might get bored with how much these type of things actually consume him.

So, back in February we thought it might be a good idea to try to refinance our little green house.  You know, take advantage of the good interest rates, get a better deal,.  We thought all of this until we actually got the appraisal.  What do you mean Wells Fargo?  You won't refinance a home that is SO upside down?  I understand that doesn't make any financial sense to you, but what about us?  We deserve a break, right?  NOPE.  We put that thought out of our head and decided we would save save save and try to pay off as much as we could over the next 5 years.  This house is small, but it is definitely do-able for our little family.   We figured that we are products of the bad housing market and we would learn from this experience.  We were both on the same page, but as you can imagine Mr. Spread Sheet is determined.

Steve starts reading how interest rates on homes are the lowest they have ever been.  It is a good time to buy.  Homes are moving.  Etc. Etc.   My friend's dad is a real estate agent.  Maybe we could just call him and see what he thinks about listing the home?  Is it a bad idea?  Would it sell?  Why not?  and Three days later it is listed with a sign out front.   We had a lot of traffic at the very beginning.  24 days later, it is slowing down a bit, but there is still some interest.  At this point, we are both hopeful that it will sell, but are not going to be destroyed if it doesn't (after all - we had planned on staying here 5 years remember?)  We don't know where we will move if it does sell.  I am pretty hesitant to start looking.  I feel that might make me resent my little green house.  I do not want to resent it. I love it.  I have loved it.  We are just ready to move on IF we can.  :)
