Oh Where Oh Where Could my Little Blog Be...

Wow, time flies. Plain and simple. I don't even know where to start.
Chronologically? That would be Steve's birthday.
Happy 32 to Steve. You do 32 well.

Best Family Picture? That would be from a complete stranger at the zoo.

Actually, I think we went to the zoo in May so this one would be the winner for both chronologically AND the best family picture post.

Quite possibly one of my favorite days ever? He was singing his little heart out with the head phones on.

I guess I could start with why my kid is so lucky? Namely, because he has a Grandpa and a Kiki with a farm. Yep. An actual farm. Complete with goats, chickens, pigeons, riding lawn mowers and dogs. For a child who is OBSESSED with outdoors, this day was most likely up there on one of HIS best days ever!

He loved the lawn mower and was so excited to sit on it with uncle Ben. As soon as the LOUD engine started however, he was bawling his eyes out. I fear that he has Steve's sensitive ears. (Yes, the kind of sensitive where he plugs his ears when an ambulance or fire truck drives by in the next town!)

I could start this blog by showing you the progress of Evan's little tree? We planted Ben's Christmas tree after Evan was born. We wanted to plant something that we could watch grow with Evan. I am shocked by how big they BOTH are getting!
June, 2011.

June, 2010.
I suppose I could start with the time that we had to wait at the Rock for 45 min that turned out to be wonderful because Evan got TWO suckers and I got this awesome picture!

Cutest? No, he is not eating something sour. Quite the contrary. He is eating a cinnamon roll that Ben made at the office. One that he wanted to take home so bad that I ended up putting it in a used plastic bag for the transport from the office. A cinnamon roll that he was so excited to eat at his little table. All alone. So, no, he is not eating something sour, but rather, he is smiling his best smile EVER!

The last place I could start would be with this picture. Steve has been secretly coaching Evan to play football. I know it. He sneaks in words like "Hawkeye" and "touchdown" whenever he can and has been working with Evan on throwing the ball. The other night, they were spinning the football in the hall (again, I think Steve is convinced the more he exposes Evan to the idea of football, the more chances he will have of them ganging up on me to allow all Hawkeyes, all the time!). Anyway, after a few spins of the ball, I got this picture that I could just gobble up with a spoon! I am biased, but I L.O.V.E. my son!
