Stroller!

Today we took Evan on his first walk in his stroller. It is crazy to think that he is so little and so new that something as easy as going for a walk in his stroller was done for the first time in his life!  He did great and loved the stroller.   (Don't make fun of how bundled he is... I was worried he would get cold.)  :)

As a side note, I went to the dr. today.  Things are progressing fine!  I have 10 more pounds to lose to get to pre-pregnancy weight and he said my scar looked wonderful (for a scar, I guess?). I told him that I felt like a million bucks and asked him if that meant that I could carry the baby in his seat by myself.  He politely told me "nice try" and said he would see me in 4 weeks.  I guess I am doomed for another 4 weeks of relying on everyone else.  So far, Kathi carried him from Red Robin and into Target.  Beth carried him in and out of the fabric store, into Jamba Juice (Yum!), and into Target and BabiesRUs.  Jen was even relied on to carry him out of the hospital.  I have carried the empty seat and the ever growing child separately, but have yet to complete an outing with just him and me. I have to admit that I am a little scared of the day that I have to do it alone, but I am also getting anxious to figure things out!!

(Also note that Steve goes back to work tomorrow.  AHHH!!  I will keep you posted on how things go. I am assuming they will go fine... however, I am not going to judge myself too harshly if I don't make it to the shower and if the whole day is spent in our pj's!).

Cute pics of the first stroller ride! I am glad you are feeling well. I'm sure it is frustrating to not be able to do things yourself. I love the updates! Keep them coming!!

It was really sunny yesterday in B'Ham, so I was hoping it was nice by you and that you might be able to "break the stroller in". Happy that Evan enjoyed his first ride. You sure look like happy, proud parents. Glad also that the doc appt went well.

Good for you for bundling him up! And I am WAY impressed that you have been on so many outings! I don't think I was able to do that for a while after my c-section. Way to go you! And don't stress about being home alone with baby...it works out just fine. Just love cuddling with him and playing with him. :)
