2 Weeks!

Today is Evan's Two Week Birthday!  Hooray!  He is a great baby.  He sleeps a lot (like his dad), gets the hiccups a lot (like his mom), and is mastering the technique of peeing all over Steve and I every time we change his diaper.

I am still healing from the C-Section and have started feeling a strange burning around my scar (which, I am told is completely normal as the nerves all try to re-attach -- FUN!).  When I talked to the dr. yesterday, they said to take Iron supplements and to try to take it easy.  Sure, with a brand new baby, I will just relax.  :)

Anyway, Steve has been a big help.  It makes me smile to see him with this little guy.  He is getting more and more comfortable with him everyday.  My favorite part is when Steve takes him to his room to change him and I hear yelling from the back - "He got me!"  "Oh no!  Pee is everywhere!"  or "Why does he poop when I take the diaper OFF?"  When Steve first talked about taking two weeks off, I was very hesitant.  I thought, "what are going to do with each other for two weeks?!"  However, I take it all back now.  I am glad he has been home to help me. It is frustrating to not feel like myself and to not be able to do all the things I want to do, so it has been nice having Steve here to remind me that I don't NEED to do it ALL alone.  At least, not yet.  (He goes back to work on Tues of next week!)

One last photo... check out his shirt... Thanks Rebecca!

What a doll! He looks like a very happy baby. I am so excited every time I see an update. Thanks for taking time to do it, I know it probably seems like a burden at times.

What a beautiful little guy! So glad you are finding such joy in being a mom and that Steve is loving his role as a daddy. It is an amazing transformation when you become a parent.
Love you tons,
Aunt Cathy
