Tonight we went to the Trick-Or-Treat event in cute little downtown Edmonds. This is our third year to attend the festivities and it is always so much fun. There is free popcorn from the local movie theater, Free donuts from the local bakery and Free hot chocolate provided by ... hmmm. Provided by someone. There are millions of kids running around, the stores are giving out candy to children and there are even a few people handing out candy to adults. Hooray!
By the end of the night, Owen was telling everyone that he was ready to go home. I was holding a stuffed bear that he told us he really needed to bring Trick-or-Treating, Greg was holding a little blue baby (of course this had to come if bear was coming), and, at the insistance of Owen, Jen was holding the Snake costume's tail to make sure that it didn't drag and get dirty.
We hit a few more stores for a few more pieces of candy, saw some amazing costumes, and saw the most adorable little 80 year old woman sitting in her wheel chair at the corner starbucks watching the festivities, drinking a hot drink and wearing a skunk costume. Fabulous.
After being down town, we came back to my house, carved pumpkins, ate pizza and turned Noni's house upside down. Jen, I know you get stressed, but... I love having Owen come over and play with the limited amount of toys that we have, having him sneak drinks out of my water bottle after balancing on it for some strange reason, having him tell me that my pumpkins really do look like Mike Wazoski and Sulley ("really, they do, Noni, they do, I promise"), having him play hide and seek with the glowy bracelet, having him store Crazy Bread Sauce in his candy pumpkin, and having him obscond with Steve's Snoopy dog.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I am crying. You are so cute to Owen and you are sweet to welcome my crazy boy over to your house and you never seem to care what chaos he is creating. (Except when he started flinging pumpkin guts on your wall). I love our Halloween tradition and I already can't wait for next year.
You look so cute in your costume :) BTW your nephew is adorable and he sounds really funny! Looks like you guys had a great night.
