Anniversary Follow up.

I have had many questions about my "hint" to Steve at the bottom of my anniversary post. For our anniversary, we decided that we would not do anything crazy. Rather, we would both splurge on the new running shoes we needed and then spend countless days running together to solidify our love. (ok, that second part was not part of the deal, but it seems so much more romantic for our anniversary then just running shoes.) Anyway, we both bought our shoes, tested them out, and I loved mine. They were comfy, sturdy, and were doing wonders for the aching pain in my knee that seemed only to be getting worse. Steve's however, were one size too small. He had ordered his online and had to send them back for the size bigger. I was worried that he wouldn't have the shoes for our anniversary, so I did a scavenger hunt for him. When he got home from work, I gave him a word puzzle thing where he had to answer some questions about me/him. When he was done, certain letters of the answers ended up in boxes. Those boxes spelled "Apple." This led him to the Apple Tree out front where he had an ipod gift certificate and a note to "Check my Blog." After reading the blog, the picture at the bottom led him to the tree on the side yard. Under the tree was a pack of running socks and another clue directing him to the coffee maker. In the coffee maker there was a Star Bucks gift card and a clue directing him to find a bear in our house. Evan has numerous bears, but the clue was inside his mini-pillow pet. It was a McDonald's gift certificate and a note directing him to the freezer. What was in the freezer? An ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins, of course!

Steve's response as he went from one clue to the next? "Why do I feel like I am being asked to the prom?" :)
