Yoga Days.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays Steve gets Evan while I teach my class with Jen.  On Thurs, before class started I got a frantic call from Steve saying that the baby wouldn't stop crying.  What do I do?  Do I go home?  Do I stay?  How can I have a calm yoga class knowing that my little guy is crying his head off? (I could hear him in the background!).  I wanted to run to his rescue, but then I remembered something that I had read in a "you are pregnant... here's what you should do" type of book. The book said to let the dad be the dad every once in a while.  It said that sometimes our first instinct is to say, "here, let me help," but in all actuality the dad SHOULD have the chance to do it his way.  So, despite my anxiety, I stayed and when I got home from yoga, this is what I found...

Every baby thing in the living room in an attempt to make the little guy happy.  The play mat, the swing (complete with removable bouncy seat), an empty bottle and the boppy.  I could tell that Steve had quite the night.

Fortunately, I also found this...

What a nice boost to Steve's "Dad" skills. It's such an amazing thing to see your son grow up to be a Dad. Love the pic!

That is just too sweeet. I Can't wait to see my husband with our little one, and seeing him as well as I overcome those scary moments when you just don't know what the hell to do. Congrats again, he is a doll face!

So smart Ang. I was kind of a control freak & let's just say it did not work in my favor. Anyone's really. Good job, now not only did the two of them totally bond, but you also have what will probably be one of your favorite pictures of this precious time.
