Steve's parents are living with us until they are able to close on their house in Bellingham. They found a perfect house (after only about a day of living here) and are now just waiting the time to pass so they can move in.
They arrived from St. Louis, took one look at their 8x8 bedroom we had ready for them, and vowed to find something quick! :) No, in all honesty, they appear to be doing well with the limited space... However, I am sure it is hard to live in one bedroom! Especially when you are Parents and have not shared a house with anyone since, um, probably about 1999. AND not to mention, our house is really tiny!
We have figured out a good system to have 4 people using 1 bathroom, and thank heavens for DVR for all the shows we all want to watch. (Can you imagine the Dad watching America's Next Top Model or Janice Dickenson! I could never subject him to that. OR what about Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (which just started up again by the way). I will watch that one after they have all gone to bed and not torture them with the "make-you-stupider-for-watching" realty tv I have grown so fond of.)
Since arriving, Steve's dad has been doing "projects" all around the house. The sliding door to the washer and dryer (which Steve and I tried to fix for about 2 months before just giving up) was fixed in about 5 min. The shed doors, repaired - with all new hardware and wood. The new entertainment center, put together with holes drilled for wires. The gate to the car port, fixed (even though I didn't even know it was broken). The crooked picture in the living, hung straight. And --- just today I was asked for a new list. I am positive I can think of something else. Just give me a minute.
Also, since arriving, Steve's mom has been cooking all sorts of very "Leave it to Beaver" style meals. (Kathi - I love that you are June Cleaver!) Steve has been eating steak and veggies, chicken, stew, and some sort of meal cooked in the crock pot - which I am sure is just full of nutritious ingredients. Tonight, as I got home from yoga and ate my meatless corn dog and grapes in yogurt I thought to myself, "what is Steve going to do when they move out?" Hot Pockets are not that bad for you... are they?

I TOLD you to send Bob over here to do my list of projects! Where is he? (tapping foot impatiently) My goats could REALLY use an enclosure; the garden fence needs to be finished; pea gravel for the drainage pipe; painting the last panel the fence ......... shall I continue? See? I'm the one who REALLY needs him. He's just dinking around at your place. Now five acres ... that'll keep him very busy. :O
