April Adventure
On the last day of April, we squoze (I know that is not a word, but I love it nonetheless - it is the past tense of squeeze), on the last day of April we "squoze" in a quick April adventure. We decided to keep this adventure very Seattle-esque and took a quick visit to the Fremont Troll! We loaded the kids and headed down. Evan was a little nervous and asked me more than one time if the troll was real. After constant reassurance on my part, we arrived. It was a quick adventure, but it was well worth it! The kids played in the dirt, climbed the troll, threw Evan's cars off the troll's head to unsuspecting visitors below, got really dirty, stayed up way past their bed time, and had ice cream for dinner. One of the rules for our monthly adventures was that we had to do something that we had never done before. Jen was worried that going to see the troll was breaking the rules because I had been there before. We justified the trip by reasoning that I had never been there with kids and then added that extra umph by seeking out a never-before-visited ice cream shop called Bluebird Ice Cream. Jen and I have been dreaming of the corn syrup free ice cream since that day and chalked up another "success!" for our monthly adventures!
