Update!
After hours and hours of patiently waiting for the long line to start, someone came out of the preschool and started hanging signs on the gate. Hmmm. I got out of the car to go and see what they said. As I started reading the signs other parents started walking toward the designated line up spot - behind me. Oh! After all the waiting, here we were, starting the line and I was now in the best spot I could have imagined- FIRST! I almost started cheering right then and there! I did it! He was in! I kept my excitement at bay until I had the little receipt for my non refundable $50 in my tight little hand, but after that, i actually skipped to the car. Hooray! Here we go class of 2028!

Glad we decided to go for it and just be the crazy parent that pitches a tent if necessary. I have a feeling this will not be the first time in his life that you lead the line holding a number one in your hand.

Way to go, "Mama Bear"!!! I am so happy for Evan as it sounds like it will be the perfect preschool for him!
My mom had to wait in line to get all three of us into preschool back in the day. I would go out on a limb and say she doesn't have a single regret about that *little* bit of craziness.
