Baby Brother is One Month Old!

On Tues we had Wesley's One Month check up.  Drum roll please...
Stats:
Height - 22 inches (67%)
Weight - 10 lbs 13 oz (76%)
Head - 41 cm (97%) (although this one may be a little skewed)

He is a WONDERFUL baby.  He sleeps 99.9% of the time and when he is awake, he is usually just as content as can be.  He poops 10 times a day and, as a result, we are battling a never ending diaper rash.  We have resorted to using paper towells in water (no wipes) and have been advised that the best remedy for the diaper rash is Maalox.  We have yet to try the anti-acid on his bum, but will likely be trying it soon if his pooping doesn't slow down.  He seems to be a good night sleeper and will sleep for 4-6 hours if I don't wake him up to eat.  (Although he does start to stir in the night and we hear little grunts from the bassinet).

At the doctor's office during his 1 week visit he rolled from his tummy to his back.  The dr. laughed that he was advanced, but since he hadn't done it again since, I figured it was on accident.  After the dr. on Tues, I went to Jen's to pick up Evan and put Wesley on the floor on his tummy.  After some grunts and a few cries, he rolled over again.  Come to find out, he IS advanced!  (It may have been on accident again, but I am the mom and get to think what I want!)

Some things I adore about him at this age are:
I LOVE it when he hold his blanket.  (He has some of those swaddle blankets from uncle Pete and aunt Anne and he holds them in his little hand.) - LOVE IT!
I love it when he holds on to my shirt when I am feeding him.  Something so innocent about his hands.
I love it when Evan wants to hold him or gives him his binkie.  He takes care of him and then proudly announces, "I calmed him down mom!"
I love it how he looks around and still cannot focus on anything specific.  He looks so inquisitive.  So many things to figure out and learn.
I love how he can wear different clothes than Evan could wear.  There were some things that I had for Evan, but never put him in.  Evan's little style just didn't seem to fit some of the clothes.  Wesley, on the other hand, can pull off the nerdy look with style.  Yes, the all-aligator suit from Owen and the one piece stripey romper have both made an appearance this time around!  Jen says that Wesley is more nerdy and that it wouldn't be a surprise to anyone if he showed up in socks with sandals.  I tend to agree.  Something about the little guy sort of screams "Pocket Protector!"
