Liar, liar, pants on fire!

On Sunday, Evan told his first outright lie. We have these adorable little mailboxes that I have been putting little treats in since the first of feb. The mailboxes are for Valentine's treats and I have been putting small little treats in them each day. One day Evan had a red hotwheel car. One day we all had suckers. One day Evan got Play Dough. On Sunday we all got mini York Peppermint Patties. Evan ate all of his and then ran and stole one out of my pink mailbox. I asked him if that was his chocolate or mine. He replied, 'mine.' I rephrased. 'Did you get that out of your white mailbox, or my pink one?' He looked at me from the corner of his eye and then promptly said, 'white one.' The look on his face was priceless! He knew he was lying, but he wanted that chocolate so bad! Steve said Evan is definitely his son if he will lie to get snacks and I said I was a sucker for my little guy because I gave in and gave him the subject of his first real act of deceit!
