1 Year Old Photos

This Sat. we got Evan's one year old photos taken.  I found the photographer through a friend of Jen's.  I worried about the pictures for many days.  (See the previous Christmas blog about wanting things to work out the way they do in the movies...)  I bought Evan a new shirt at every store I went to - thinking each time, "this is the PERFECT shirt for his pictures."  I stressed about what I should wear (the photographer said that she would take a few family shots while she was at it).  I worried about what Steve should wear (I didn't want to match, but I didn't want to clash!).  I worried about the weather, the location, whether I should cut my hair before or after the pictures (which, by the way, I cut BEFORE --  9 inches off and liberation!).  I stressed and worried.  The photographer suggested we meet at the UW arboretum on Sat at 11.  Ok.  I decided to stop worrying about everything.  I put Evan in his normal clothes.  I wore my normal favorite jeans and let Steve pick his own outfit.  The arboretum was perfect, the rain (and most of the wind) held off until after the pictures, and Evan was happy the whole time! (well except for a little bit at the end when he just wanted to look at dogs and we wanted him to smile for another shot).   The photographer has given me a sneak peak of some of the shots and I am in LOVE with them!  She did such a good job!  I will post more when I get them, but here is one of my favorites so far...
